Kirsten Tiemann

Designated Paralegal

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, Kirsten completed the two year Paralegal program at Capilano University in 1996 and has been working as a Paralegal since.

Kirsten initially joined Jenab & Company Law Corporation as a part time contract employee but is now our full time designated Paralegal. Kirsten has recent and significant experience in the provision of family law paralegal support services for matters relating to separation, divorce, child custody issues, etc. Being mentored as a designated paralegal allows Kirsten to attend Provincial Court chambers which offers our clients a cost effective option.

Kirsten previously worked with large civil litigation cases with a focus on insurance defence matters. Her knowledge and experience assisted her in providing paralegal support in all aspects of the litigation process and aided in her ability to draft legal documents. Kirsten has attended Examinations for Discovery, Mediations and has assisted directly at Trial.

Kirsten was the student representative of the BC Association of Legal Assistants (now BC Paralegal Association) and is still an active member. Previously Kirsten was also a member of the Vancouver Police Victim Services unit where she volunteered in a mobile unit aiding police officers with victim crises and information desk duties.

In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys spending time with her two sons and her three dogs. Kirsten has a basic understanding of reading, writing and speaking German and is now working on learning Spanish.

Ms. Tiemann charges at a rate of $165/hour.
