What is arbitration?
Arbitration is a method of resolving an issue out-of-court by a single trained arbitrator or multiple arbitrators. Arbitrators act as unbiased third parties who aim to provide the most fair resolution for the parties. Arbitration shares similarities with traditional litigation processes. Both parties can bring legal representation to the arbitration session(s). Moreover, through arbitration the decision, otherwise known as the award, declared by the arbitrator is final and legally binding. Ms. Jenab is a trained and accredited arbitrator since 2013.
Why choose arbitration?
There are a good number of reasons to choose arbitration over litigation. The privacy of arbitration is something that certain parties value; although the decision is ultimately filed with the courts. Typically arbitration is preferred since both parties have a say in choosing the arbitrator. It is also a faster process than litigation because court dates often take long to be assigned. Arbitration is also usually less expensive; the costs of preparing for an arbitration are lower than that of preparing for a trial.
