Zahra has a philosophy of practicing law with compassion. Following a Master of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations, Zahra received her Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1994. She established her own practice in April 2000 on the North Shore, where she continues to work and live.

Zahra has always had a deeply rooted interest in non-adversarial resolution of legal issues, and her training in mediation, arbitration, and collaborative divorce provide her with the tools that she needs in assisting clients to reach the best possible solutions in family law situations.

Zahra has represented clients at the BC Provincial, Supreme and Appeal court levels and has acted as a mediator in family matters. She has been accredited by the Law Society of BC as a family law mediator, arbitrator and parenting coordinator. She is also a member of the BC Parenting Coordination Roster Society and the BC Hear the Child Society.

Zahra is keenly aware of the cultural differences that often play a significant role in conflict resolution. She has had the privilege of volunteering in a number of different organizations, and has presented workshops for numerous multicultural organizations, assisting immigrants to Canada to better understand, and benefit, from the Canadian legal system and culture. Her knowledge of Persian language and her experience with cultural and legal issues allows her to overcome language and cultural barriers and provide legal services tailored to her clients’ specific needs. Throughout the years, she has been actively involved in numerous cultural and social associations, advancing the interests of the Iranian-Canadian community. Zahra is a Director of the BC Hear the Child Society, Civic Association of Iranian Canadians, West Vancouver Foundation, past Director of Access Pro Bono Society, and past President of the North Shore Bar Association. In 2017, Zahra was honoured to be a recipient of a Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.

Zahra also provides legal services in wills & estate planning and corporate law.

Ms. Jenab charges at a rate of $420/hour.
